About Kuami Eugene
Eugene Marfo, known professionally as Kuami Eugene, is a multiple award-winning Ghanaian highlife and afrobeats artist born in Akyem Oda in the Eastern Region. His soulful voice, guitar-driven melodies, and deeply relatable lyrics have made him one of Ghana\'s most beloved contemporary artists.
Kuami Eugene rose to national prominence after finishing as a top contestant on MTv Base's Shiz Niz competition. Signed to Lynx Entertainment, he quickly became a household name with songs like "Rockstar", "Open Gate", and "Dollar on You" which topped charts across Ghana and Nigeria.
A three-time VGMA Artiste of the Year, Kuami Eugene is celebrated for bridging the gap between traditional Ghanaian highlife and modern Afropop production. His music often draws from personal experiences, family stories, and the cultural richness of his Akyem heritage.
Beyond music, Kuami Eugene is involved in humanitarian work, particularly youth empowerment initiatives in the Eastern and Ashanti Regions. He is a vocal MUSIGA advocate for local content promotion and the protection of highlife music heritage.
