No Musician
Left Behind

MUSIGA's welfare programmes are a lifeline for every member — from emergency medical support to pension security. Because the music never stops, neither does our care.

MUSIGA is committed to providing value for members in all aspects of welfare. Our programmes cover ageing musicians, life insurance, pension security, and national health cover — ensuring no musician is left without support.

Musicians
Helping Musicians

MUSIGA has joined Collins Woode from Denmark to develop a welfare programme whereby Ghanaian musicians volunteer to help ageing and sick fellow musicians.

Volunteers are trained and then help deliver care directly in people's homes — providing companionship, assistance, and dignity to musicians who need support most. This model is based on a successful programme in Denmark and is being adapted to serve Ghana's music community.

Bereavements

MUSIGA has a dedicated Welfare Officer at both national and regional levels who actively supports the families of musicians who have passed on.

MUSIGA executives are often heavily involved in organising funeral events — especially when there are performances to honour the deceased. We believe in walking alongside our members' families in their time of loss.

In Memoriam

We honour every musician who has left us. Their contributions to Ghana's music culture will never be forgotten.
