MUSIGA @50
"Positioning MUSIGA for Growth in a Digital Age"
Since those analogue days when MUSIGA was started — only vinyl records then! — Ghana's music has witnessed extraordinary change. In 2025, we celebrate fifty years of this union while charting the next chapter for Ghanaian music in the digital economy.
Why Now
The Digital Age & Ghana's Music
Ghana and other African cities are alive with creative energy. How can Ghana's vibrant music be further taken to the world? How do we leverage the digital space to promote Ghana's music?
How can we inspire and involve the youth to build on the proud history of Ghanaian music and take it further in the new creative — so-called "orange" — economy, as described in World Bank reports?
The main objectives of MUSIGA@50 are to celebrate our 50-year legacy while positioning the organisation for growth in a digital age.
